Content Policy
This policy defines what users may post, how adult and sensitive material must be labeled, and what content is prohibited regardless of label.
Pre-launch legal notice
This policy reflects the current pleasedtobe product and safety design. pleasedtobe is still in pre-launch development. The final legal operator identity, legal contact information, jurisdictional provisions, and provider-specific disclosures must be reviewed and finalized by qualified counsel before public launch.
1. Purpose
pleasedtobe is designed for verified adults and permits a broad range of adult expression. That does not mean anything goes. This Content Policy sets the minimum rules for posts, replies, profiles, images, galleries, links, music, messages, and other user-submitted material.
2. Content labels
Users must choose the label that accurately reflects the content. The application requires an adult-content confirmation for NSFW and EXPLICIT posts. Deliberately under-labeling content may result in moderation action.
- GENERAL: ordinary content that does not require a sensitive or adult-content warning.
- SENSITIVE: content that may be disturbing, intense, or otherwise unsuitable for some viewers but is not necessarily sexually explicit.
- NSFW: adult-oriented or sexual content that should not be displayed as ordinary general content.
- EXPLICIT: clearly explicit sexual or graphic adult content.
3. Absolute prohibition on minors in sexual content
Suspected underage sexual content or underage users should be reported using the UNDERAGE CONTENT OR USER category. Such reports are treated as critical-priority reports for review.
- No sexual content involving a person under 18.
- No solicitation, grooming, sexualization, exploitation, or sexual roleplay involving minors.
- No content presented as depicting a real minor in a sexual context, even if altered, generated, fictionalized, or claimed to be legal elsewhere.
- No attempts to evade age-verification controls or help a minor access pleasedtobe.
4. Non-consensual and exploitative content
- No non-consensual intimate images or recordings.
- No sexual content created, obtained, or distributed through coercion, trafficking, blackmail, hidden recording, or exploitation.
- No synthetic, edited, or generated intimate material presented as a real person's sexual image without that person's consent.
- No threats to publish intimate content or demands made in exchange for withholding it.
5. Stolen, leaked, or unauthorized content
Do not upload or distribute intimate, copyrighted, subscription-only, private, hacked, leaked, or otherwise restricted material unless you have the legal right and the consent required to share it on pleasedtobe.
A person being visible on another website does not by itself give you permission to repost their content here.
6. Harassment, threats, and privacy abuse
- No credible threats of violence or sexual violence.
- No stalking, targeted harassment, coercion, extortion, blackmail, or sustained unwanted contact.
- No publication of private personal information for the purpose of intimidation, retaliation, or harm.
- No evasion of blocks, message-request declines, or messaging cooldowns through alternate accounts.
7. Impersonation and deceptive conduct
- Do not impersonate another person or falsely claim to represent a person, company, organization, or authority.
- Do not use another person's images or identity to mislead users about who controls an account.
- Parody, commentary, or fan accounts must not create a materially false impression of identity or endorsement.
8. Illegal, dangerous, or abusive activity
- No content that facilitates trafficking, exploitation, fraud, scams, malware, credential theft, or other unlawful activity.
- No content whose primary purpose is to facilitate serious physical harm or criminal abuse.
- No spam, mass unsolicited promotion, deceptive engagement manipulation, or fraudulent solicitations.
9. Intellectual property and ownership
Only upload content you own or are authorized to use. Copyright, trademark, publicity, privacy, and contractual rights continue to apply on pleasedtobe.
If a dispute involves ownership or authorization, pleasedtobe may remove or restrict the material while the matter is reviewed.
10. External links and embedded media
Links, Spotify or SoundCloud embeds, and direct media URLs must also comply with this policy. You may not use an external link to distribute material that would be prohibited if uploaded directly to pleasedtobe.
11. Enforcement
Content may be removed, hidden, re-labeled, or otherwise restricted, and accounts may receive strikes or restrictions when content violates platform rules. Enforcement depends on context, severity, history, and available evidence.
Report priority affects triage but does not automatically hide content or automatically establish a violation.
