Consent Policy

Consent is a core requirement for intimate content and sexual interactions on pleasedtobe. This policy explains the responsibilities of uploaders and the boundaries users must respect.

Version 2026-09-30-r2Effective September 30, 2026

Pre-launch legal notice

This policy reflects the current pleasedtobe product and safety design. pleasedtobe is still in pre-launch development. The final legal operator identity, legal contact information, jurisdictional provisions, and provider-specific disclosures must be reviewed and finalized by qualified counsel before public launch.

1. Consent is required

If content depicts, identifies, or meaningfully involves another person in an intimate, sexual, or private context, you must have that person's valid consent to create and share the content in the manner you use it on pleasedtobe.

Consent to create content is not automatically consent to publish it. Consent to publish content in one place is not automatically consent to repost it on pleasedtobe.

2. Who can consent

  • Every person depicted in sexual or intimate content must be at least 18 years old.
  • A person must have the capacity and freedom to consent. Consent obtained through force, threats, fraud, exploitation, intoxication, or coercion is not valid.
  • You may not rely on another user's age-verification status as proof that a third party shown in uploaded content is an adult or has consented.

3. What uploaders represent

By posting intimate or sexual material involving another person, you represent that you have the legal rights and permissions necessary to possess, upload, and distribute that material and that each depicted person whose consent is required has consented to the relevant use.

You must be able to respond honestly to moderation questions about ownership, consent, or the age of depicted persons. pleasedtobe may remove content when consent or age cannot be reasonably established.

4. Non-consensual intimate material

  • Revenge pornography and other non-consensual intimate imagery are prohibited.
  • Hidden-camera or secretly recorded intimate content is prohibited.
  • Leaked, hacked, stolen, or privately shared sexual content may not be reposted without authorization.
  • Sexual deepfakes or synthetic intimate depictions of a real person require that person's consent and must not be used deceptively.

5. Withdrawal, disputes, and removal requests

A person depicted in content may report the material and state that they did not consent, that consent was exceeded, or that consent has been withdrawn. pleasedtobe may remove or restrict the material during or after review even if the uploader claims earlier consent.

Removal from pleasedtobe cannot guarantee removal from copies made by other users, search engines, caches, third-party services, or external websites.

6. Consent in direct messages

Direct messaging does not create consent to sexual conversation, sexual images, repeated contact, or off-platform contact. Users must respect messaging privacy, message-request decisions, blocks, and clearly expressed boundaries.

A declined message request, a block, or a request to stop contact must not be circumvented through alternate accounts or other pleasedtobe features.

7. Reporting consent violations

Use the NON-CONSENSUAL CONTENT report category for intimate material shared without consent. Use STOLEN OR LEAKED CONTENT when material was obtained or redistributed without authorization. Harassment, threats, impersonation, or underage concerns should be reported under the matching category.

Non-consensual content reports are treated as critical-priority reports for review. Priority does not itself determine the final moderation outcome.
